So I stripped three helicoils and I was recommended to drill to a larger m12x1.25 timesert. I was looking at timesert site, and they id not reccomend timeserts for previously repaired holes. The difference between keenserts and helicoils is the amount of parent material that has to be removed to do the install prior to tapping. The helicoil requires less removal of the base material.
