WebAug 26, 2024 · So if you're running crude through your refinery for coolant, when it gets hot enough to turn into petrol you'll have a problem on your hands. A better method would be to run petroleum in your refinery pipes, then have them circulate through an oven-type set-up that boils crude into petrol at a controlled rate.

As long as the temp in the reservoir is under 40 C or so the output stays below 100 C, even when refining iron.
