WebJul 29, 2011 · Since you notice the lines when you first start the computer up, this means it's not a driver problem. Gaming's check the cable idea is a good one. If the connections are tight and screwed in, all you could do is swap out the cable if you have another in the house. I'm pretty sure your video card is on it's way out and needs to be replaced. D WebFeb 14, 2024 · My monitor has suddenly become bisected by a very thin purple line. I do a lot of design work, so this isn't going to work... I attempted a factory reset to the monitor, but the line is still there. Unfortunately it's about 6 months out of warranty. Any tips for resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

There is really no fix to it other than replace the LCD. Sometimes adding some pressure to the TCP either through cloth tape or other means can temporarily eliminate that line.
